Partos & Noblet, the associated firm of Hogan Lovells in Hungary, advised Vajda-Papír Group, a Hungarian integrated household paper manufacturer and acted as legal counsel throughout the transaction to acquire the Italian-based Sofidel’s private label tissue manufacturing and supplying business operated in Lábatlan, Hungary.
The transaction covers Sofidel’s private label business only and structured as a transfer of the related business as a going concern. The transaction will enable Vajda-Papír Group to further strengthen its position in the regional household paper market and expand both its production capacity and product range. The transaction is expected to be closed in 2026 and is subject to approval from the Hungarian Competition Authority.
