Our team has a strong expertise in advising and assisting major international groups and local undertakings in all areas of antitrust and competition law having a specific knowledge of the practices of the competition authority in Hungary. We represent clients before the Hungarian Competition Authority, the courts and the European Commission.
Our team regularly assists businesses in relation to practices, behaviours and situations that may give rise to issues relating to compliance with antitrust rules. We advise and guide clients on issues relating to abuse of dominant position and anticompetitive practices, such as alleged involvement in cartels.
We advise clients on complex merger control aspects of transactions at an early stage of structuring, ensuring the timely preparation of notifications to the competition authorities.
We assist businesses in drafting and implementing compliance programmes that are suited to their specific needs and desired compliance culture including providing tailor-made audits, dawn raid training and mock dawn raid exercises and drafting comprehensive reports on the risks investigated.
The team has an in-depth knowledge of consumer protection regulations and advises clients in relation to the launching of regulated products in the food and pharma sectors. The team also represents clients in cases initiated for allegedly infringing commercial practices.
